Our Mission Statement

Who Are We?

Chase Surgical Ltd was established by myself, David Luke. I am a consultant General Surgeon in the NHS with a subspecialist interest in Colorectal Surgery, and my main elective scope of practice is inflammatory bowel disease surgery.

I spent 20 years in the British Army, first as a surgical trainee and then a military consultant surgeon and during this time had significant exposure to, and developed a professional interest in the surgical management of trauma and emergency surgery. My main educational interest is dedicated to training and education in early years surgical trainees.

Chase Surgical is committed to an ethos of focusing on the basics. We run courses in the wet lab to teach pragmatic practical skills with an emphasis on hands on learning, and replicate these courses virtually with our professionally designed training simulation kit. In the wet lab, all of the procedures taught are performed by the delegates with consultant general surgeons and experienced surgical fellows guiding delegates on a one to one basis.

Our virtual courses are augmented by video tutorials along with Q&A sessions on Ms Teams with a Consultant trainer. In the wet lab high quality fresh frozen tissue is used to make this as close to real life as we can, whilst providing a completely calm and low pressure environment to help with stress free learning.
